Wage growth dynamics in Latvia are unlikely to change substantially in the coming months, according to an assessment by bank economists following the release of second-quarter wage data by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP).

Experts note that pay increases will continue at a moderate pace, while at the same time they do not anticipate a marked further slowdown in that pace. This suggests that the current growth trend is likely to continue in the near term without sharp changes.

The CSP's second-quarter figures formed the basis for the bank economists' comments, which emphasized that changes in wages are occurring gradually rather than through sudden swings.
