Elīna Fūrmane Pledges €10,000 Prize to Nepal Flood Victims if She Wins TV Show
Latvian singer Elīna Fūrmane, also known as DJ Ella, will donate the main prize of the show “Izklausies redzēts” to Nepal flood victims if she wins. She lost her brother and sister-in-law in the floods.

Latvian singer Elīna Fūrmane, who performs as DJ Ella, has said that if she wins the music show “Izklausies redzēts”, she will donate the €10,000 main prize to people affected by the floods in Nepal. The floods claimed the lives of her close relatives: her brother Raimonds and sister-in-law Agnese Fūrmanis, who were on the Nepal–Tibet border with other travellers from Latvia when the tragedy struck.
How the show works
In each episode, seven contestants compete for the best performance while taking on the roles of leading international and Latvian musicians. Besides Fūrmane, the participants are actress Lelde Dreimane, singer Ieva Sutugova, musician Ralfs Eilands, singer Andris Ērglis, hip-hop artist Krisy and actor Maksims Busels. The winner is decided by total points across all episodes, and in the final the three highest-scoring contestants will compete for the main prize. Each week's winner also directs that week's prize to the charity of their choice.
Other contestants' choices
Every contestant has picked a cause:
- Ralfs Eilands would support children with movement disorders, helping them walk with robotic rehabilitation devices at the “POGA” centre.
- Maksims Busels would give to the Children's Hospital Foundation to help children with cancer. He notes that funding shortages in this area are very pressing.
- Krisy would back the association “Juglas dzīvnieku aizsardzības grupa”, while Lelde Dreimane chose the animal protection society “Ar sirdi delnā”.
- Ieva Sutugova would give the money to seven-year-old Emma Poiša, who has an autism spectrum disorder and needs financial help to attend ABA therapy sessions.
- Andris Ērglis would fund musical instruments for the music class of Dzērbene general and music primary school.
Lelde Dreimane stresses that animal protection is a deeply personal cause for her.
