Director Elza Gauja begins filming new movie 'Marry and Die'
Director Elza Gauja has started shooting her third feature film, 'Marry and Die,' with production currently underway in Riga after earlier filming on Estonia's Saaremaa island.
Latvian film director Elza Gauja spent her 33rd birthday on the set of her new film 'Marry and Die' (Apprecēties un mirt) on the island of Saaremaa in Estonia. Filming is now continuing intensively at various locations in Riga.
The new movie will be Gauja's third feature-length film. Her previous work, 'Mom Is Still Smiling' (Mamma vēl smaida), received several nominations for the Lielais Kristaps national film award, while her film 'Postcard from Rome' (Pastkarte no Romas) was named the best feature film of 2023.
Production on the new film is currently in an active filming phase, with further details about its plot and release date not yet announced.
