Emīlija Brauna: "I Went to the European Championship Knowing I Would Get a Medal"
The 17-year-old long jumper Emīlija Brauna, after winning silver at the U18 European Championships and becoming Latvian adult champion, says this is only the beginning.

Emīlija Brauna, who recently claimed silver in the long jump at the U18 European Championships, appeared on a television program to share her thoughts. She expressed pride in her performance, emphasizing that small Latvia can achieve a lot. Before the competition, Brauna was ranked ninth based on personal bests, but she went to the championship with a firm belief that she would earn a medal. "I just had to put everything in my head, believe that I could do it, and surpass myself," said the athlete.
Following her success in Europe, Brauna also triumphed at the Latvian adult championship. The 17-year-old considers these achievements only a beginning. "This is certainly not the last Latvian champion title. And hopefully, also in Europe," she added. The interview aired on LTV1's "Rīta Panorāma" and "Sporta studija" programs.
