Latvian cyclist Emīls Liepiņš continued his solid performance at the Arctic Race, finishing 15th in the tour's second stage. The stage covered 180 kilometers with 1,161 meters of elevation gain, held in cool conditions of around +14 degrees Celsius.

During the stage, a breakaway formed but was caught before the decisive final kilometers, leading to an intense battle among riders for position ahead of the sprint finish.

Liepiņš, as in the previous stage, was again among the leading group of riders. He crossed the line with the same time as stage winner Erland Blikra of Uno-X Mobility. Ethan Vernon of NSN Racing took second place, while Giovanni Lonardi, who continues to wear the leader's jersey, finished third.

Overall standings

In the general classification, Liepiņš holds 16th place, trailing the leader by 14 seconds — the same gap separates the rider in 11th place. Liepiņš maintains a 4-second advantage over Blikra in the overall standings.

The tour continues on Saturday with a 146-kilometer third stage featuring an uphill finish. The race concludes on Sunday.
