EU increases liquefied gas imports from Russia in June

The figures, compiled by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA), were reported by German newspaper "Welt am Sonntag."
The new data show that despite EU efforts to reduce dependence on Russian energy resources since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, LNG imports from Russia by some member states continue to grow. Liquefied natural gas remains one of Russia's significant sources of export revenue, and its supplies to Europe continue even though pipeline gas flows have largely been halted.
