EU continues to rely on Egypt for migration control, praises economic reforms
The European Union trusts Egypt's authorities to curb illegal migration and backs reforms to improve the investment climate, as stated by the EU commissioner during a visit.

The European Union continues to count on Egypt's ability to control illegal migration to Europe. This position was reaffirmed by the European Commissioner responsible for relations with Mediterranean countries, who visited Egypt over the weekend.
During the visit, the commissioner emphasized that Brussels highly appreciates Egypt's efforts to implement economic reforms aimed at creating a more favorable business environment and attracting foreign investment. The EU is ready to continue supporting these reforms to strengthen the country's economic stability.
The discussions also focused on reducing illegal migration flows, in which Egypt plays a key role as a partner. The commissioner positively assessed the cooperation so far and expressed confidence that Egyptian authorities will continue to honor their commitments in this area.
