Even Realities launches smart glasses G2 in a brown colorway
Smart glasses maker Even Realities has released a brown version of its G2 model, called Even Brown 2, priced at $649. It also launched sunglass clips and a neck chain.
Smart glasses maker Even Realities has released a new colorway of its G2 smart glasses, named Even Brown 2. The hardware is essentially the same as the standard G2, differing mainly in its brownish tint and slightly lower weight. The glasses cost $649 and are available now.
Individually finished frames
The company says each pair should look somewhat unique, because every frame is individually shaped, pressed, tumbled and polished for 20 hours, which creates subtle variations. Brown 2 comes in two styles: a rounded one and a more square-shaped one.
Features and controls
The G2 display can show notifications, perform live translation and bring up a teleprompter. Engadget, the source of this report, was impressed by the feature set and described it as close to a platonic ideal for smart glasses, but found the control scheme clunky, especially when used with a smart ring.
The company has partly addressed this. A recent software update added new gestures and more refined controls on the glasses themselves. The glasses can now also monitor AI coding agents while they work.
New accessories
Alongside the new colorway, Even Realities introduced two accessories. A pair of clips adds sunglass lenses to the glasses and costs $149. A chain for wearing the glasses around the neck when they are not in use costs $79.
