Everton captain Finnigan signs one-year extension

Everton Women's Super League captain Megan Finnigan has signed a one-year contract extension. The 28-year-old centre-back, who missed last season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, said she feels positive and that spending 20 years at the club is special. Finnigan stated she is glad to have the deal sorted and that her recovery is going well. She added that this will be her 20th year at the club and hopes it will be even more special as it is the season she returns to action. Finnigan has made over 200 appearances for the Toffees since her senior debut in 2015.
