Facebook experiences widespread outage – users worldwide unable to access accounts on desktop
Thousands of Facebook users globally encountered problems Sunday trying to log into their profiles on the desktop version of the social network. The mobile app continued to function without issues.

On Sunday morning, shortly after 10:30 AM Latvian time, Facebook users around the world began reporting they could not access their accounts from computers.
The problems affected only the web version of the platform, while the mobile app on smartphones remained fully operational. The service monitoring site Down Detector had logged thousands of user reports by 11:00 AM.
When opening the Facebook website on a desktop, most users saw an error message and were unable to view their profiles. Many also took to other social platforms to complain about the issue.
Meta, Facebook's parent company, has not yet provided an official explanation. The cause of the widespread outage remains unknown.
