A review of the US meal delivery service Factor finds that its protein-rich meals hold up well after reheating, while the company has recently expanded into fresh ingredients and baked goods.

US meal delivery service Factor has significantly broadened its menu over the past two years. Alongside classic Midwestern-style meat-and-two-sides meals, the lineup now includes barramundi filets topped with a Niçoise olive garnish, Caribbean-spiced chicken thighs, and a premium filet mignon option served with truffle butter.
More than half of Factor's meals contain 30 grams or more of protein, and more than half are prepared without added gluten, typically paired with rice or potato sides. However, Factor's meals are not prepared in a fully gluten-free facility.
Expanding the Menu
In recent years Factor has added more fresh ingredients and baked goods to its offerings, including calzones, flatbread pizzas, mixable salads, and warmable soups, all available as dinner options. The service also offers a range of market add-ons such as smoothies, protein shakes, and juice blends.
Taste and Quality
Over two years, the reviewer sampled roughly three dozen Factor meals, ranging from breakfast pancakes to dishes featuring steak, shrimp, and pork chops. After reheating in an oven, air fryer, or microwave, the results don't quite match freshly cooked food, but protein items — shrimp, fish, and pork chops — held up particularly well.
The reviewer noted that a never-frozen chicken breast retained a proper chicken-breast texture, unlike previously frozen and reheated chicken, which often turns rubbery. The best results came from ignoring Factor's official reheating instructions and instead using an air fryer, which produced better browning on meat and crispier vegetables and potato sides.
