Fenerbahce Rally to Draw with Lyon in Champions League Play-off
Fenerbahce came from behind to draw 1-1 with Lyon in Istanbul in the Champions League play-off first leg, with Mason Greenwood scoring the equaliser after the break. Other Tuesday fixtures also produced surprises.

Fenerbahce and Lyon shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie, played in Istanbul on Tuesday. The visitors took the lead through Lois Openda, who scored his first goal since joining the French club. Fenerbahce responded shortly after half-time when Mason Greenwood found the net with a well-taken equaliser, leaving the tie finely balanced ahead of the second leg.
Comebacks elsewhere
In Croatia, Viking Stavanger of Norway staged a remarkable comeback to draw 2-2 away to Dinamo Zagreb. It was Viking's first Champions League campaign in 34 years, and the club — last season's Norwegian champions, having edged out Bodo/Glimt for the title — fought back from two goals down. Zagreb raced into a two-goal lead within the first ten minutes through Dion Beljo and Mateo Lisica, but Viking equalised before the break with goals from Peter Christiansen and Zlatko Tripic.
Elsewhere, Levski Sofia and AEK Athens played out a goalless draw in Bulgaria.
Scottish champions Celtic begin their play-off campaign on Wednesday, hosting Austria's LASK in the first leg. All second legs in this round are set for August 25-26.
