Ferrari Drivers Leclerc and Hamilton Fastest in Hungarian Grand Prix Practice Sessions

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton topped the timing sheets in the first two practice sessions of the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday, with Leclerc leading session one and Hamilton fastest in session two.

The first two practice sessions for the 11th round of the Formula One season took place on Friday at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Ferrari drivers dominating.

In the first practice, Charles Leclerc set the fastest lap at 1:19.075, beating Max Verstappen (Red Bull) by 0.484 seconds. Teammate Lewis Hamilton was third, 0.543 seconds off the pace.

In the second session, Hamilton came out on top with a lap of 1:18.729. Leclerc was second, 0.148 seconds behind, while Lando Norris (McLaren) placed third, 0.499 seconds adrift.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) did not participate in the first practice and was 13th in the second session.

After ten rounds, Antonelli leads the drivers' standings with 204 points. Hamilton has 159, George Russell (Mercedes) 154, Leclerc 126, Norris 103, Oscar Piastri (McLaren) 92, and Verstappen 91. In the constructors' championship, Mercedes tops with 358 points, followed by Ferrari (285), McLaren (195), and Red Bull (151).

Saturday will feature the third practice session and qualifying, with the Hungarian Grand Prix set for Sunday. The season originally had 24 rounds, but races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were canceled due to conflict in the Middle East. The season concludes in early December in Abu Dhabi.
