Due to lack of funding, Latvian bobsledders to compete only in Sigulda World Cup
Latvian bobsleigh team will only participate in the Sigulda World Cup event next season, with other competitions in the European Cup, primarily due to funding shortages.

Latvian bobsleigh crews plan to compete only in the Sigulda stage of the World Cup next season, while taking part in the European Cup for other races. This was announced by national team head coach Emīls Cipulis.
The Sigulda World Cup round is scheduled for early February next year. The team also aims to compete at the World Championships, which will be held in Lillehammer, Norway, at the end of February.
Cipulis explained that the main reason for these plans is insufficient funding. If additional resources become available, the plans may change, but currently the focus is on the European Cup.
Both the World Cup and European Cup bobsleigh seasons are set to begin in late November.
