Fils claims biggest title of his career with Cincinnati Masters triumph

French tennis player Arthur Fils beat American Frances Tiafoe in a three-set Cincinnati Masters final to win the fifth title of his career, his most significant so far. The victory will lift the Frenchman to a career-high world ranking of 11.

French tennis player Arthur Fils, ranked 21st, won the Cincinnati Masters final on Sunday, defeating American Frances Tiafoe, ranked 23rd, in three sets 6:3, 1:6, 6:0. Fils entered the match as the favorite, with bookmakers offering odds of 1.46 on his victory.

Fils outperformed his opponent in several key categories, winning 59% of first-serve points compared to Tiafoe's 39%, and 67% of second-serve points compared to 55%. Prize money and ranking impact

The champion earns $1,151,380 and 1,000 ranking points, while runner-up Tiafoe receives $612,340 and 650 points. Following the tournament, Fils will rise to a career-high world ranking of 11th, surpassing his previous best of 14th. The 28-year-old Tiafoe will climb to 12th in the rankings.
