Tyson Fury Stops Mariusz Wach by TKO in Thailand

According to Sky Sports, Fury seized control from the opening bell, landing consistent jabs and denying Wach respite even in clinches. Wach showed first signs of fatigue in the third round, and Fury unleashed a series of uppercuts in the fifth. By the sixth, Wach was clearly exhausted. The fight ended in the seventh round when Wach's corner stopped the bout at his request.

Fury's previous outing was in April in London, where he outpointed Arslanbek Makhmudov over 12 rounds after an 18-month layoff. Wach, meanwhile, lost a unanimous decision to Ukrainian Viktor Vikhrist for the WBO European title in March. Wach began his career with 27 consecutive wins but has struggled since his 2012 loss to Wladimir Klitschko, posting a 12-14 record in subsequent fights.

At the official weigh-in, Fury was lighter than his opponent for the first time in 15 years. The British boxer weighed 120.2 kg, while Wach tipped the scales at 132.2 kg—7.7 kg heavier than his last fight. Fury has been the lighter fighter in only four of his 39 bouts, the last time being against Derek Chisora.

Fury used the fight as preparation for a potential matchup against Anthony Joshua, who is set to face Christian Prenga on Monday. The long-anticipated all-British showdown is tentatively scheduled for the end of 2026.
