Former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has revealed plans to invite US President Donald Trump to lead him out for his ring walk ahead of his upcoming fight against fellow Briton Anthony Joshua.

The long-anticipated all-British heavyweight bout is scheduled for 11 December at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

Fury and Trump met in June at a UFC event held at the White House. The Manchester-born boxer was later seen wearing a cap bearing a slogan suggesting Trump for prime minister, after the 80-year-old president lifted a travel ban that had affected Fury's ability to enter the United States.

The 38-year-old fighter said he intends to extend the invitation to his "old pal," though he acknowledged it is unlikely Trump would be able to attend given his current responsibilities as president.
