A new attraction in Pompano Beach, Florida, invites visitors to explore the glowing, otherworldly world of jellyfish. Featuring neon lighting and striking displays, the facility is believed to be the first museum in the United States dedicated entirely to these creatures.

Jellyfish rank among the oldest animals on Earth, having drifted through the oceans for more than 500 million years — long before dinosaurs or even trees existed.

A sizeable collection

Spread across nearly 10,000 square feet, or roughly 900 square meters, the museum contains 21 separate display tanks showcasing around 20 distinct jellyfish species.

The museum was established by aquarium developers from Ukraine.
