Von der Leyen condemns Russian missile violation of Polish airspace

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed outrage on social media platform X over a Russian missile entering Polish territory. She emphasized that this is another unacceptable violation of EU airspace, caused by Russia's recent strikes on Ukraine.

Von der Leyen voiced support for Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and stated that Europe will continue to help Ukraine win the war by all possible means. She also highlighted the need to build a reliable European security architecture on land, at sea, and in the air.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed that a Russian missile had violated Poland's airspace on the night of July 30. According to Polish media, the missile fell in the Lublin Voivodeship near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia. The incident further demonstrates the threats posed by Russian aggression to the European region.
