Plane carrying skydivers crashes in France; 11 dead

A civilian aircraft carrying skydivers crashed on Sunday near Tourblanche in eastern France, resulting in the deaths of all 11 people on board, local authorities reported.
According to Yves Seguy, prefect of the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, the victims include five instructors, five students, and the pilot. No injuries were reported on the ground.
The plane, registered in Germany, crashed in a grassy area near the runway of Nancy-Essey airfield, close to a residential area and two roads, according to AFP.
The cause of the crash remains unknown. Deputy prosecutor of Nancy, Amory Lacote, stated that a technical investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of the accident.
