France holds annual night sky watching event across the country

France has kicked off its annual Nuits des Étoiles, a three-night stargazing tradition that draws thousands of participants across the country this weekend.
The event is taking place in more than 400 towns and villages throughout France, offering free access to organized night-sky viewing sessions. Astronomers are present at the various locations to assist visitors in navigating the sky and spotting celestial objects through telescopes.
What can be seen
According to the report, participants have the opportunity to observe the planets Saturn and Mars, as well as distant galaxies that are normally invisible to the naked eye.
