France and Norway to battle for Group I top spot, Spain face Uruguay test
Tonight's World Cup action includes a decisive clash between France and Norway in Group I, and Spain taking on Uruguay in Group H, with knockout stage implications.

Tonight at 10 PM Latvian time, one of the most anticipated group stage matches will take place: France vs. Norway. The result will determine the winner of Group I, as both teams have beaten Iraq and Senegal so far. In case of a draw, France will finish first due to a better goal difference (+5 vs. +4).
The Group I winner will face a third-placed team from Groups C, D, F, G, or H in the Round of 32, while the runner-up will meet Ivory Coast. The match also features two of the tournament's top scorers: Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé, each with four goals.
Simultaneously, Iraq and Senegal will play in the same group. Senegal currently sits third, but to advance, they likely need to beat Iraq by at least three goals, given their goal difference of -3.
At 3 AM Latvian time, Spain meets Uruguay in Group H, while Cape Verde faces Saudi Arabia. Spain could theoretically drop to third if they lose and Cape Verde wins for the first time in World Cup history. These results also affect Group J: if Spain wins and tops the group, they will face the Group J runner-up (currently Austria). To avoid Spain, Austria would need to lose to Algeria by at least one goal.
On Saturday morning at 6 AM, Group G sees Belgium vs. New Zealand and Iran vs. Egypt. The outcomes are still open. Special attention is on the Iran-Egypt match, dubbed a "pride match" by some media due to Seattle's Pride event. Both federations have stated they do not support such labeling due to cultural and religious beliefs. FIFA President Gianni Infantino denied it is a pride match, clarifying it is simply a World Cup game coinciding with an event organized by another group.
