In Spain, local authorities ordered tens of thousands of people to evacuate in the Madrid region due to a major wildfire west of the capital. The fire threatened a suburban town and was described as "impossible to control". Firefighters struggled to contain the rapidly spreading flames.
Both fires are fueled by dry conditions and strong winds, with authorities warning of extreme fire danger. Residents were advised to follow evacuation orders and stay informed through official channels.
