French aerobatic team flies over New York for US anniversary

Flying Alpha Jets in close formation, the team performed precision manoeuvres above Manhattan and Central Park under clear morning skies. One aircraft trailed red, white and blue smoke, echoing the colours of the American flag. The display was a tribute to the enduring ties between France and the United States, which date back to the American Revolutionary War. The flypast was one of several events marking the historic milestone.
