The French Air and Space Force's Patrouille de France performed a flypast over New York to mark the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence.

The Patrouille de France, the aerobatic demonstration team of the French Air and Space Force, staged a flypast over New York City on Saturday as part of celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Flying Alpha Jets in close formation, the team performed precision manoeuvres above Manhattan and Central Park under clear morning skies. One aircraft trailed red, white and blue smoke, echoing the colours of the American flag. The display was a tribute to the enduring ties between France and the United States, which date back to the American Revolutionary War. The flypast was one of several events marking the historic milestone.
