Nearly 200 clashes at the front, Kostiantynivka direction the hottest – General Staff
Ukraine's General Staff reported 197 combat clashes along the front over the past day, with the heaviest fighting — 22 assaults — in the Kostiantynivka direction. Russian forces also launched 17 attacks in the Southern Slobozhanske direction.
According to a report by Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff as of 22:00, 197 combat engagements took place along the front line since the start of the day.
The most intense fighting occurred in the Kostiantynivka direction, where Ukrainian defense forces repelled 22 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Mykolaipillia, Novoselivka and Stepanivka.
In the Southern Slobozhanske direction, Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 17 times near Izbytske, Okhrimivka and Volokhivka, with one additional clash still ongoing at the time of the report.
In the Pokrovsk direction, 15 attacks were repelled near several settlements, including Shakhove, Kucheriv Yar and Novyi Donbas, with two clashes continuing.
In the Northern Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, defense forces successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks. In the Kupiansk direction, two assaults were recorded near Zahryzove, while in the Lyman direction seven enemy attempts to advance were stopped near several villages.
In the Sloviansk direction, five enemy advance attempts were halted, and two assaults were repelled in the Kramatorsk direction. In the Oleksandrivka direction three attacks were repelled, and in the Huliaipole direction six attacks were recorded, one of which was still ongoing. In the Orikhiv direction, defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Pavlivka.
The General Staff noted that fighting continued in multiple directions simultaneously, with some clashes still unresolved at the time the report was compiled.
