Nearly 200 clashes on the front in a day, most fighting near Kostiantynivka — General Staff
Ukraine's General Staff reported 197 combat clashes along the front over the past day, with the heaviest fighting recorded in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk directions. Defenders repelled 20 assaults near Kostiantynivka and 15 near Pokrovsk.
Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff, in a report compiled as of 22:00, said 197 combat engagements took place along the front over the course of the day.
The most intense fighting was recorded in the Kostiantynivka direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Illinivka, Dovha Balka and Rusyn Yar, with one clash still ongoing.
Other directions
In the Pokrovsk direction, 15 enemy attacks were repelled as occupying forces tried to advance near Vilne, Bilytske, Chernihivka, Myrne, Serhiivka and Molodetske; three engagements were continuing.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions five times near Starytsia, Kozacha Lopan, Volokhivske and Prykolotne, with two more clashes ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, defenders repelled two assaults near Kivsharivka and Kolisnykivka. In the Lyman direction, they repelled five attempts to advance near Zarichne, Lyman and Dibrova, with one clash still underway.
In the Sloviansk direction, defense forces stopped three attempts by occupying forces to advance near Mykolaivka. In the Oleksandrivka direction, four attacks were repelled near Sichneve and Verbove, while eleven attacks were recorded in the Huliaipole direction near Rizdvianka, Kopani, Yehorivka and Myrne.
The General Staff noted that the enemy conducted no offensive actions in the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi, Kursk, Kramatorsk, Orikhiv and Prydniprovsk directions.
