Over 200 combat clashes recorded on the front since beginning of day

Ukraine's General Staff issued an updated combat report on Tuesday, September 8, covering the situation on the front as of 10 p.m. local time. According to the summary, 205 engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian forces took place since the start of the day.
The report says the enemy launched one missile strike and 52 aviation strikes. The attacks included 186 guided aerial bombs. Russian forces also deployed 5,876 kamikaze drones and shelled Ukrainian positions and populated areas 1,873 times.
Situation by direction
The General Staff provided a breakdown for individual sectors. In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops repelled seven attacks; near Kupiansk there were four attacks; in the Lyman sector, eight; and in the Sloviansk direction, six. The Kostiantynivka axis saw 15 attacks, while the Pokrovsk direction recorded 30 attacks, the highest number among the listed sectors. Two attacks took place on the Oleksandrivka axis, and four attacks were recorded near Huliaipole.
The figures point to continued heavy fighting, with the Pokrovsk area facing the greatest pressure during the reporting period.
