Ukraine reports 127 combat clashes along front line in one day

Ukraine's General Staff reported in its situation update as of 22:00 on 28 September that 127 combat clashes had taken place along the front line since the start of the day.

According to the report, Russian forces carried out 60 air strikes during this period, dropping 171 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed around 5,200 kamikaze drones and conducted roughly 1,850 strikes on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

Breakdown by direction

In the North Sloboda and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defense forces repelled three Russian attacks. In the South Sloboda direction, the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian unit positions seven times.

In the Kupiansk direction, defenders repelled an attack aimed toward the city of Kupiansk. In the Lyman direction, three enemy attacks were repelled, while two were repelled in the Sloviansk direction.

The most intense fighting occurred in the Kostiantynivka direction, where 18 attacks were repelled, and in the Pokrovsk direction, where 26 attacks were repelled — the highest count among all reported directions. In the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions, two attacks each were repelled, while four were repelled in the Orikhiv direction.

The General Staff did not provide further details on casualties or territorial changes in this update.
