Riga women's football club loses to Šiauliai's Gintra, exits Champions League qualification

Latvian women's football club Riga was defeated by Lithuania's Šiauliai Gintra on Saturday in Køge, Denmark, ending its hopes of continuing into the UEFA Europa Cup.

The women's football club Riga played a UEFA Champions League qualification second-round match for third place on Saturday in the Danish city of Køge, where the team suffered a defeat.

In the match against Lithuania's Šiauliai club Gintra, the Riga side lost 1:4.

The defeat means that Riga will not advance to compete for a place in the UEFA Europa Cup at this stage of the tournament, bringing the club's Champions League qualification campaign to a close.
