Gailītis announces 12-player squad for crucial match against Netherlands
Latvia men's basketball head coach Jānis Gailītis named 12 players for the decisive game against the Netherlands on Thursday evening. The match starts at 20:30 Latvian time and will be broadcast live on LTV7.

Latvia men's basketball head coach Jānis Gailītis announced the 12-player roster for the crucial game against the Netherlands during Thursday's technical meeting. Out of 16 candidates, Kristians Feierbergs, Gunārs Grīnvalds, Ričards Aizpurs and Krišs Helmanis were left out.
In the first leg on November 28 in Riga, Latvia lost to the Netherlands 78-86. The Dutch later lost to Poland 83-85 in a close game, and had a win (81-71 in Vienna) and a loss (87-88 in The Hague) against Austria.
The Latvian squad for this match includes: Roberts Blumbergs, Rolands Šmits, Artūrs Strautiņš, Klāvs Čavars, Rihards Lomažs, Mārtiņš Laksa, Mārcis Šteinbergs, Toms Skuja, Kristaps Ķilps, Kārlis Šiliņš, Toms Leimanis and Artūrs Žagars. The team previously lost preparation games against Estonia and Georgia.
The game against the Netherlands starts at 20:30 Latvian time and will be broadcast live on LTV7. On July 3, Austria will face Poland.
