Ghana coach criticizes VAR decision in England match: 'They went for coffee'
Ghana's national team head coach expressed dissatisfaction after the referee decided not to award a penalty in the match against England, suggesting that VAR might have 'gone for coffee'.

The World Cup Group L match between England and Ghana ended goalless at 0-0. England dominated possession and had 19 shots on goal, but failed to find the net.
In the closing stages, England defender Ezri Konsa stopped a Ghanaian attack inside the penalty area, making contact with an opponent. After a VAR review, the referees decided not to award a penalty. After the match, Ghana's coach criticized the decision, questioning whether VAR was still functioning at the World Cup.
The coach stated that the foul was clear and should have resulted in a penalty and possibly a red card for the defender. In a sarcastic remark, he suggested that the VAR officials might have gone for coffee, noting that he also sometimes wants coffee, but the decision was clearly wrong.
Following the draw, both teams have four points, with England leading the group due to a better goal difference (4:2 compared to Ghana's 1:0). In the final round of group matches, Ghana will face Croatia, while England will take on Panama.
