The latest cycle of the show 'Almost Perfect Dinners' brought together four contrasting guests around one table: bartender Mārtiņš Rozenvalds, 'Family in a Jar' reality star Vita Valtere, actor Kaspars Zāle, and writer Dace Rukšāne. According to 360TV, although each participant genuinely tried to impress both viewers and fellow guests, it was Dace Rukšāne who ultimately earned the highest score and the title of best host for the week.
Four very different evenings
The week opened with Mārtiņš Rozenvalds, who spent nearly the whole night preparing a chef-level meal and treated guests to an evening of writing their own songs using unusual equipment. For dessert, he surprised everyone with both edible and drinkable versions of 'cheesecake.'
Kaspars Zāle planned his evening with particular care, setting his table with natural materials he had personally gathered and fished from a lake. However, Dace Rukšāne, drawing on her background in biochemistry, pointed out that eating off such leaves was not as healthy as it might seem. The outdoor setting also left guests quite cold, and cooking itself proved challenging for Kaspars. Dancing and a sweet dessert rounded off his evening.
At Vita Valtere's home, guests got a glimpse of her daily life, including a visit to see her horses. Vita prepared a generous spread, though the table itself held an unusual story — her cat had once been neutered on it. Music for the evening was provided by her husband, musician Lauris Valters.

The week concluded with Dace Rukšāne, who prepared a Michelin-restaurant-worthy meal at her countryside home — her beef sauce alone required eight hours of careful reduction. Before dinner, guests toured Dace's rural property and admired her impressive bookshelf, though some apparently found more to talk about with a boulder than with each other. During dinner, guests were asked to show off their creativity by composing poems, and the evening ended on a sweet note. Dace's carefully planned approach ultimately secured her the title of the week's winner on 'Almost Perfect Dinners.'
