Gārsene Castle Museum Receives Budberg Family Relics
The collection of Gārsene Castle Museum has been enriched with unique Budberg family relics – photographs, silver tableware, and old stories – brought by descendant Anna Roza Šona, Latvia's honorary consul in Haiti.

Unique family relics have been deposited at the Gārsene Castle Museum after being kept outside Latvia for over a century. The collection now includes photographs, silver tableware, and old stories belonging to the Budberg family.
The relics were delivered by Anna Roza Šona, a descendant of the Budberg family and Latvia's honorary consul in Haiti. She visited Gārsene to hand over the heirlooms to the museum. These items had been preserved abroad for a long time and have now returned to their ancestral home.
The museum's collection has become richer with these historical testimonies. Visitors will be able to explore the Budberg family history through the photographs and silver pieces, as well as hear the old stories associated with the family.
