Gattuso Returns to Serie A to Take Over Lazio After Unsuccessful Italy Spell
Gennaro Gattuso, 48, has been appointed as the new head coach of Lazio, replacing Maurizio Sarri who left for Atalanta.

Italian football coach Gennaro Gattuso is back in Serie A after taking the helm at Lazio. The 48-year-old replaces Maurizio Sarri, who recently departed the Rome club to join Atalanta from Bergamo.
Gattuso's most recent role was with the Italian national team, but his tenure ended following a disappointing qualifying campaign where the football powerhouse failed to secure a spot in the World Cup. Prior to that, he coached several Serie A clubs, including Milan, Napoli, and Fiorentina. He also spent a season in France with Marseille and previously worked in Spain with Valencia.
Lazio officially announced Gattuso's appointment on social media, posting a message that read: "Benvenuto, Mister" along with the club's emblem.
