As the 20th Baltic Student Song and Dance Festival Gaudeamus approaches, Dagmara Barbale, the artistic director of its dance program, shares her hopes for the event. She emphasizes that she wants participants to feel the power of unity—the strength of being together that extends to infinity, enhanced by the venue of the final concert. In her view, this feeling brings everything into place, and upon returning home, one carries for a long time the awareness that there are friends, neighbors, and a reliable shoulder nearby. The festival, which gathers students from across the Baltics, is not only a cultural event but also an opportunity to strengthen the sense of community. As the person responsible for the dance program, Barbale hopes that this year's Gaudeamus will become a special experience for every participant, reminding them of the power of art and community.
