General Staff: 219 clashes recorded along front over past day, most near Pokrovsk

Ukraine's General Staff reported 219 combat clashes with Russian forces on September 15, with the highest concentration in the Pokrovsk direction, alongside dozens of air strikes and thousands of shelling incidents.

Ukraine's General Staff of the Armed Forces reported, in a summary recorded as of 22:00 local time, that 219 combat clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces took place along the front line since the start of the day on September 15.

The most intense fighting continued in the Pokrovsk direction, where 38 clashes were recorded — the highest number of any front sector. Significant combat activity was also reported in the Lyman direction (6 clashes), the Sloviansk direction (4), and the Huliaipole direction (7).

Russian assaults across multiple directions

According to the General Staff, Russian forces attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 15 times in the South-Slobozhanske direction. Eight assaults were recorded in the Kostiantynivka direction, and two in the Kupiansk direction. One assault each was reported in the Kramatorsk and Oleksandrivka directions, and one more in the Orikhiv direction.

Large-scale drone and air attacks

The General Staff stated that Russian forces carried out 68 air strikes over the course of the day, dropping 249 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, 4,153 kamikaze drones were deployed in attacks.

The report also noted that Russian troops carried out 1,638 shelling attacks against Ukrainian populated areas and military positions. The overall figures point to continued intense fighting across several front sectors, with the Pokrovsk direction currently the most active zone of combat.
