Venezuela earthquake rescuers race against time to find survivors
Rescuers in Venezuela are in a desperate race against time as the window to find survivors narrows. Around 2,000 search and rescue officials have arrived from countries including the UK, Mexico, Costa Rica, France and Spain, but logistics remain a challenge.

Rescuers in Venezuela are facing a critical race against the clock as the chance to find survivors trapped under rubble diminishes with every passing hour. Approximately 2,000 search and rescue personnel have been deployed from various countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, Mexico, Costa Rica, France, and Spain, to assist in the efforts.
However, as BBC correspondent Dan Johnson reports from the Colombian town of Cucuta near the Venezuelan border, getting the right people and equipment to the right locations is a complex and challenging task. Logistical difficulties are hampering the efficiency of the rescue operation.
In an overnight briefing, Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodríguez expressed that she still has "faith and hope" that survivors will be found. She emphasized that rescue teams are doing everything possible to save lives.
