New Android Find Hub feature will help you remember where you left important items
Google is rolling out several new Android features this September, including a Find Hub update that lets users save the location of important belongings using Gemini. Other additions target motion sickness, visual accessibility and Messages users.

Google has announced a set of new features arriving on Android devices this September. One of the key updates involves the Find Hub app, which will now let users save the location of important belongings with the help of the Gemini assistant.
No compatible tracking accessory will be required — users can simply tell Gemini, for example, that their passport is stored in a vault inside a bedroom cabinet, and even attach a photo alongside the note. Later, when the item needs to be found again, users can ask Gemini and get a reminder of where it was placed. Find Hub will also let users browse a full list of saved items along with their locations. The feature will be available on Android 16 and newer devices in regions where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported.
Additional features
Devices running Android 17 will gain access to a new "Motion Assist" feature designed to reduce motion sickness. It overlays small bubbles on the screen that move along with the vehicle, aiming to bridge the gap between what the eyes see and the motion the body feels. Users will be able to customize the bubbles' shape, color and opacity, and set the feature to activate automatically.
Devices running Android 9 or newer will soon get "Guided vision," built for people with visual impairments. By sharing their camera feed in Gemini Live, users can have the assistant read labels and menus aloud or help locate specific objects.
Google is also rolling out Keep integration with Messages starting today, letting users share notes such as shopping lists directly in conversations, where other participants can edit and add to them. Alongside this, Messages is gaining customizable themes, letting users choose colors and wallpapers for individual conversations.
