Google Pixel 11 Series: Incremental Updates and Price Hikes Expected

Google's upcoming Made by Google event on August 12 is rumored to showcase the Pixel 11 series, which appears to be an incremental update rather than a major overhaul.

The lineup is expected to include four models: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Design and display sizes are said to remain unchanged from the Pixel 10 series. However, new color options are anticipated: the base Pixel 11 in Midnight, Fuchsia, and Moss; the Pixel 11 Pro in Dune, Pine, and Sterling; and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in Midnight and Pine.

Display brightness may see improvements, with the base model reaching a peak of 3,100 nits, and the Pro and Pro XL models up to 3,600 nits. A notable rumor is "Pixel Glow," an RGB LED array on the rear camera bar that could provide light feedback for notifications and Gemini interactions.

Under the hood, the Pixel 11 series is expected to feature the Tensor G6 chip built on TSMC's 2nm process. The chip reportedly uses a seven-core configuration with an ARM C1-Ultra core at 4.11GHz, a PowerVR GPU, Titan M3 security chip, and a MediaTek M90 modem. Camera upgrades may include a 50-megapixel main sensor for the base and Fold models, and new main and telephoto sensors for the Pro versions.

Pricing is expected to increase. The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro may drop the 128GB storage option, starting at 256GB but costing the same as previous 256GB models, effectively raising the entry price. The Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold could see a €100 increase in Europe, likely mirrored in the US.

Alongside phones, the Pixel Watch 5 is also anticipated. Leaked renders show four color options, but the design appears unchanged. Pricing is rumored at $399 for the 41mm and $429 for the 45mm, with cellular variants $100 more. The watch will run Wear OS 7, with Gemini Intelligence arriving later in the year.
