Google unveils Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and new AirTag rival Pixel Tag

At its Made by Google 2026 event on Wednesday, Google presented a broad set of new hardware and software, including the Pixel 11 phone series, the Pixel Watch 5 smartwatch, and its first-ever tracking tag, Pixel Tag.

Gemini gets smarter

A significant part of the event focused on Gemini-powered features. The "Live Transcribe" tool now supports American Sign Language, letting the Pixel Camera translate sign language into text. Google also introduced "Rambler," a voice-input feature built to understand casual, run-on speech filled with filler words rather than requiring carefully structured sentences. Additionally, "Circle to Search" is now accessible directly from the Pixel Camera, letting users identify objects, translate text, and search for information without leaving the camera view.

Pixel 11 lineup

The standard Pixel 11 features a redesigned camera bar that is over 40% thinner, with an all-glass surface spanning the phone's width. Base storage has doubled to 256GB, though the starting price rose by $100 to $899, which Google attributes to dropping the 128GB option and an ongoing RAM shortage.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL gain improved drop resistance and a new anti-scratch coating offering twice the scratch resistance of last year's models, starting at $1,099. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is nearly 10% lighter and almost 1mm thinner than its predecessor, with a 48-megapixel main camera, 30x Super Zoom, and a build Google says is three times more durable.

Pixel Tag and Pixel Watch 5

Google finally launched its own tracking tag to rival Apple's AirTag. Priced at $29 (or $99 for a four-pack), Pixel Tag connects to the Find Hub network and can be located via voice command through Gemini using Pixel Buds.

The Pixel Watch 5 adds new health features, including monthly summaries of blood pressure and insulin resistance trends. The 41mm model starts at $399, the 45mm at $429, and a special Stephen Curry edition costs $579.
