Google set to unveil Pixel 11 lineup today, with Trevor Noah hosting

Google is holding its annual Made by Google hardware event today, where it will officially unveil its newest devices, including the Pixel 11 series of smartphones and the Pixel Watch 5 smartwatch. As in previous years, the event is expected to feature celebrity appearances, though this time comedian and talk show host Trevor Noah takes over hosting duties from last year's presenter, Jimmy Fallon.

Hours before the livestream, press outlets and creators were already able to publish extensive hands-on impressions of the new hardware, including looks at the Pixel 11's new camera features and the Pixel Watch 5. As a result, much of the substantive information about the new products was public well before the keynote itself began.

That has led observers to suggest the live show is aimed less at tech enthusiasts who already devour every hands-on report and more at a mainstream audience likely to watch the stream later in the evening or as a replay. Still, it remains possible Google could reveal something unexpected during the presentation.

The event kicks off in the evening Eastern Time and will be streamed live on YouTube. Several tech journalists are covering the show both in person and remotely, providing live commentary as it unfolds.
