Graudiņa/Samoilova open European Championship beach volleyball with win

Latvia's top beach volleyball pair, Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Samoilova, started their European Championship campaign in Poland with a win on Wednesday. The duo defeated their Estonian opponents, a result that already guarantees them a place in the tournament's knockout rounds.

Later on Wednesday, two Latvian men's pairs are set to face each other in a head-to-head match. Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristiāns Fokerots will take on Edgars Točs and Gustavs Auziņš, with both duos looking to improve their standing in the tournament.
