The Beach Pro Tour elite stop is taking place in Montreal, Canada, held on the grounds of the city's Formula 1 track. Fighting for first place in Pool D, Latvia's Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Samoilova lost to Americans Julia Donlin and Lexy Denaburg overnight, with the match ending 21:14, 25:27, 11:15.

The Latvians dominated the first set, but the second set slipped away 27:25 despite them holding the lead and failing to convert four match points. In the deciding third set, the Americans proved stronger, closing it out 15:11. The overall head-to-head record between the two pairs now stands at 1-2 in matches, or 3-5 in sets.

Pool D also featured Canada's Marie-Alexa Belanger and Léa Monkhouse, alongside a second American pair. Donlin/Denaburg topped the group with a 3-0 record, while Graudiņa/Samoilova finished second with two wins and one loss, edging out the other two pairs and securing a place in the knockout rounds.

Earlier in the group stage, the Latvian pair had already defeated both the Canadian duo and the other American team, Molly Shaw and Molly Phillips. Last week, at the European Championship, Graudiņa/Samoilova claimed bronze, while fellow Latvian pair Mārtiņš Plavins and Uldis Fokerots finished ninth. In Montreal, Plavins/Fokerots are also continuing their campaign, competing in Pool B.
