"Kings of Air" Brings Top Dunkers to Grīziņkalns

The "Kings of Air" competition took place in Grīziņkalns, bringing together the best dunkers from various countries. The event used a unique format: in the first round, participants aimed to accumulate as many points as possible, followed by 1-on-1 play-off matches to determine the winner. This format ensured top-level performances from the very first dunk.

Spectators enjoyed not only athletic displays but also a vibrant cultural show, musical performances, contests, and hours of entertainment. The last time this competition featured Kristaps Dārgais, who won his first "Kings of Air" title in 2018, sharing it with French athlete Guy Dupuis. His participation and success highlight the high standard of Latvian dunkers on the international stage.
