Grobiņa holds off relegation zone with goalless draw against Jelgava
Grobiņa and Jelgava drew 0:0 in round 30 of the Latvian top football league, with Jelgava missing a penalty. The result keeps Grobiņa two points clear of the relegation play-off zone.

In round 30 of the Tonybet Latvian football top league, played in Liepāja, Grobiņa and Jelgava shared the points in a goalless 0:0 draw.
The visitors from Jelgava came closest to breaking the deadlock when they were awarded a penalty midway through the second half. Roberts Meļķis stepped up to take the spot kick in the 68th minute, but Grobiņa goalkeeper Roberts Ozols saved it, and Jelgava also failed to convert on the rebound attempt. The visitors had another chance in the final minute of stoppage time when Maksims Semeško's header struck the crossbar.
League standings
The point earned allows Grobiņa to maintain its distance from the relegation play-off zone, currently occupied by Tukums 2000. After 30 matches, Grobiņa sits on 25 points, while Tukums 2000 has 23 points from the same number of games — a two-point gap between the two sides.
