Latvian pop band Musiqq releases its seventh studio album “Nemainīgi mainīgs”
Latvian pop group Musiqq has released a new ten-track album, “Nemainīgi mainīgs” (“Constantly Changing”). The band will present it at a concert in Riga Arena on 10 October.

Latvian pop band Musiqq has released its seventh studio album, “Nemainīgi mainīgs”, which has ten songs. The release comes just ahead of the band's large concert at Riga Arena on 10 October, which will serve as the official presentation of the record.
The lead single
The album includes “Tu zini mani no galvas”, a collaboration with rapper Tikasha Sakama (Nansija Garkalne). It has already passed one million plays on Spotify. For comparison, “Sāc ar sevi” (2019) has about 1.5 million, “Čaļi” (2015) 1.7 million, “Sekundes” (2014) 2.3 million, and “Debesis iekrita tevī” (2016, with the band Prāta vētra) 4 million.
The reviewer names “Sit pulkstenis”, “Nulle trablu” and “Šis ir mūsu laiks” as other potential hits. Radio stations are already playing “Nākamā vasara”.
The band's background
Musiqq was founded in 2009 by Marats Ogļezņevs, formerly of the hip-hop duo Device, who brought in Emīls Balcers as lead vocalist. The singles “Klimata kontrole” and “Abrakadabra” brought the group wide popularity, as did a win at the Latvian music award “Muzikālā banka”. The debut album “Šī ir tikai mūzika” came out in 2010, followed by “Vēl viena mūzika”, “Silta sirds”, “10” and “Mākslas darbs” (2024).
Today a live band backs the group's sound. Its side project “Bermudu divstūris” is currently even more popular, though Musiqq still keeps a large following.
About the album and the concert
The band's team says the album gathers recent musical experiments while keeping the group's melodic core. Marats Ogļezņevs explains that the title is about growth and change, while the love of music stays constant.
The reviewer is largely positive but notes a few overly commercial elements.
At Riga Arena, the band will play the new material and its best-known hits. Tikasha Sakama and Justs will appear as special guests.
