On Wednesday, September 9, temperatures ranged from 15°C to 22°C, with showers and thunderstorms forecast for the morning and evening, and sun mixed with rain in the afternoon.

Conditions worsened on Thursday

On Thursday, September 10, according to the Terra news portal (also citing Climatempo), conditions grew more unstable. Temperatures ranged between 17°C and 23°C, humidity reached as high as 98%, and rainfall of around 24.5 millimeters was expected, with a 97% probability of precipitation. Storm risk persisted through the afternoon and evening, prompting warnings to residents about possible flooding and traffic disruption. Winds blew from the northeast at moderate speed.

A brief improvement on Friday

On Friday, September 11, per G1, forecasters expected sun with some clouds and passing rain during the day, with cloudier but more stable conditions at night. The maximum temperature rose to 28°C, with a low of 18°C. However, the outlook for Saturday, September 12, turns unfavorable again, with heavy rain expected during the day, easing somewhat but not stopping by night.

Similar conditions elsewhere in Brazil

Meanwhile, unstable weather was also reported elsewhere in Brazil. In Salvador, in Bahia state, news outlet Correio24horas reported that remnants of a cold front combined with humid air from the Atlantic brought rain on Thursday and Friday, with a 60–70% chance of precipitation. Terra, meanwhile, put Thursday's rain probability for Salvador at 75%, with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 31°C. Both sources agreed that most rainfall was concentrated in the morning hours, with cloud cover decreasing in the afternoon.
