Gulbene to host Crystal Dent BMX Latvia Cup round for first time
On Saturday, Gulbene will for the first time host a national-level BMX competition – the Crystal Dent Latvia Cup round, with 243 riders registered. The Gulbene BMX Cup will follow on Sunday.
Although the BMX club in Gulbene has been active for several years, the local track had never hosted competitions of national scale. After the track was reconstructed last year, club leaders, coaches and active families showed they were ready to take the next step.
This Saturday, the Crystal Dent BMX Latvia Cup round will take place in Gulbene. The event is set to start at 11:00, with the major finals expected after 13:00, depending on weather conditions. A total of 243 athletes from Latvia and neighbouring countries have been registered for the competition.
On Sunday, the Gulbene BMX Cup will be held at the same venue, also with a scheduled start at 11:00. The information has been provided by the Latvian Cycling Federation.
