Gunārs Grīnvalds, a talented Latvian basketball player, has reached a significant milestone in his career after five seasons in Real Madrid's youth system. This summer, he not only made his debut in the prestigious Euroleague but also earned a spot on Latvia's senior national team candidate list, fulfilling one of his childhood dreams.

In an interview with LSM.lv, Grīnvalds emphasized that his time in Spain and the experience gained there allowed him to develop and elevate his game to the next level. The training in the Real Madrid system provided him with resilience that will aid in future challenges.

Soon, Grīnvalds will head to the United States to join a college basketball team. He plans to use this opportunity to showcase his skills on an international stage. US college sports are widely recognized as a springboard to professional basketball, and Grīnvalds hopes to continue his growth there.
