Gutkovskis provides assist in Polish first league opener

The new season of the Polish first league (1. Liga) kicked off with involvement from Latvian international forward Vladislavs Gutkovskis. In the 35th minute, he set up Dominik Kuna, who netted the decisive goal. Gutkovskis played until the 81st minute before being substituted. During pre-season, Gutkovskis was in fine form, scoring in each of three warm-up matches. The league comprises 18 teams; the top two earn direct promotion to the Ekstraklasa, while the next four enter a playoff for further promotion opportunities. Gutkovskis' club "Arka" will host "Stal Rzeszów" next week.
